Key Verse: Psalm 100:4-5
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good, and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.“
1. Thanksgiving for God’s Past Faithfulness
Psalm 136:1: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.“
Looking back, we see how God has carried us through challenges and provided for our needs. Deuteronomy 8:2 reminds us to always remember what God and others have done for us. Gratitude should not only be towards God but also towards the people who have sacrificed, supported, and blessed us.
Remember:
- We come from different places and backgrounds, but God has united us in Christ.
- The church stands firm because of Jesus (Matthew 16:18, “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.“).
- Prayer strengthens us and keeps us connected to God’s power.
2. Thanksgiving for God’s Present Grace
God has empowered His church to worship and serve Him. His abiding presence is the true measure of success—not the number of people in a congregation but His presence among them.
Key Reflection:
- Be thankful for the grace that sustains you today.
- Don’t focus on numbers—focus on God’s presence.
3. Thanksgiving for God’s Future Faithfulness
God has been faithful in the past and will be faithful in the future.
Even if you face storms, depression, suffering, or pain, remember:
- God will stand with you.
- He started the good work in you and will finish it. (Philippians 1:6)
- Our role is to pray and stay in fellowship—the rest is in God’s hands.
God’s faithfulness is worth celebrating in advance!
4. A Call to Renew Our Commitment
Hebrews 12:1-2: “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.“
God holds our tomorrow. We must keep moving forward in faith, no matter what.
Lessons from the 10 Lepers (Luke 17:12-14):
- Jesus told them to go to the priest before they were healed.
- Their healing came as they obeyed and moved forward.
- Likewise, don’t stop because of depression, failure, heartbreak, or disappointment—keep moving with Jesus, and you will be healed on the way!
Final Encouragement
Our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Our future is secure in His hands.
God is faithful—past, present, and future!
Let’s do something for Jesus because He holds our tomorrow!
God bless you abundantly!
